I got sick of having to search for mail server settings for various ISPs so i thought i would document a list of popular Australian Internet Providers.
I figured there would be others out there that could benefit from this list also. Due to the nature of wireless access, most providers are now blocking port 25, (outgoing mail) so it makes it difficult if you have your own domain and actively use different wireless access points.
A lot of the providers believe if you have your own domain then you should be on a business plan which costs more, and allows a static IP address. This is not necessary, you just need to change your outgoing mail server settings to be one of the below which is relevant to the provider you are using for that internet session.

Smoky Dawson, Has died at the age of 94, Known as “Australia’s First Cowboy” Smoky Dawson was Australia’s first cowboy and a pioneer of Australian country music. Smoky and his horse Flash were legendary. An entire generation of young Australians grew up listening to his radio show and abiding by his “code of the west”. Smoky died of a short illness.

Famous Aussie Actor Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan residence in a possible drug-related death, police said. He was 28. According to WNBC, Ledger was found with pills strewn all around him.

A Spokesman from the NYPD, Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at his Manhattan apartment believed to be his home. The housekeeper who went to notify Ledger the masseuse was there found him dead at 3:26 p.m. ET.

The Australian-born actor has a two-year-old daughter with former fiancee Michelle Williams. Ledger was set to play the Joker in the upcoming Batman film “The Dark Knight.” He received an Academy Award nomination for his work in “Brokeback Mountain.”He will always be remembered as a Proclaimed Aussie Actor who was not afraid to be apart of some truly moving and political movies.

I have had the opportunity whilst i have had a few spare hours this Christmas, to treat my horses. This year i made some muffins, for my babies. I figured i would share the recipe as i know it can be difficult to find anything worthy. Let me tell you it went down in one gulp! Made 14 muffins, equaled 2 each. they could not get enough.

Degree of Difficulty = 2 Carrots

Ingredients

1. 2 cups shredded carrots
2. 1 shredded apple
3. 1/3 cup molasses
4. 1 cup bran
5. 1/2 cup brown sugar
6. 1/2 cup water
7. 1/2 cup flour
8. 1/4 cup dry oatmeal

Method

1. Mix all ingredients together. You should have a doughy consistency. If not, add more bran or flour.
2. Place dough in muffin tins. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
3. Bake at 180-200°C. for about 30 minutes or until done.
4. Allow to cool before serving.

Ok, i finally admit it! Im a Geek.. I waited ages for this damn thing to arrive, yeh yeh ill get to the point. Well what i have here in my hot little hands is the New Optus E220 HSDPA Usb Modem..

Nice easy install, very light weight software, all wizard, so for those who know nothing about software can easy breeze through it.. Has a nifty little stats screen also…
Im sitting at home for the first trial which is in a unit block, surrounded by the most beautiful concrete city you can imagine, so I’m reaching fairly good speed/reception than i expected which is a bonus…. Has anyone experienced any issues reception or speed wise with these units?

The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission has launched its final report into discrimination against same-sex couples and families. The report found 58 pieces of federal legislation discriminate in taxation, employment, social security, Medicare, family, superannuation, aged care and migration law. Australia was in breach of its international human rights obligations.A Galaxy poll commissioned by advocacy group GetUp! has found that 71% of Australians believe same-sex couples should have the same rights and entitlements as heterosexual de facto couples. 57% of Australians now believe same-sex couples should be allowed to marry.

Sign the Get Up! petition demanding that the government implement all the recommendations of the HREOC Inquiry.

Finally i have submitted my video for audition on the Big Brother Australian 08 Series. Everybody knows that there will be thousands of entries, so hopefully the quality stands out from the rough. My Gaydar has always flashed Rainbow when Missy Higgins is spoken about, seen, or heard. When Missy first released “The Sound of White” album i couldnt but help myself I awlays enjoyed reading a little deeper into her music… The song “They Weren’t There” on her first album is about a forbidden relationship that everyone kind of warns her against, telling her she’s ‘too young to even know…’ and it just sounded to me like a very beautiful song about being with another girl and discovering that side of her. Perhaps its just me but that’s what I always thought it to be about.

In the Past Higgins has been reluctant to comment about her personal life. Over the years there’s been debates about her sexuality but she’s declined to claim any particular label on that front. However, when asked if she falls under CHERRIE’s moniker of ‘not-so-straight’ girls, she opens up a bit, laughs and says, “Um, yeah, definitely. I think a lot of people fall under that broad umbrella term. It’s hard not to envy Hollywood star Brad Pitt – pictured with arm wrapped round one of the world’s sexiest gals, actress Angelina Jolie at the premiere of her new film Beowulf.

First, Angelina got herself into a somewhat sticky situation as the sexy star’s stiletto shoe got stuck in a ball of chewing gum on the red carpet. The unattractive accessory molded itself to the four inch heel of the designer shoes, spoiling Angelina’s carefully groomed image.

Then the incredibly skinny star, who has raised concerns with her painfully thin frame, surprisingly appeared to be busting out of her trousers. As she cuddled lover Brad Pitt, his hand, lucky Brad hey! grabbing that booty all day long, looks like he is trying to mark his territory for the cameras.. However after staring at the picture for hours.. ohh i mean for a minute you can actually notice that Angelina’s seam has cracked and Brads hand is hiding the peep hole. Yes it has split right down the middle as if she is wearing a g-string!!.. Yummooo lol

However, the 32 year old actress still looks very gaunt in her all black outfit, she needs a bit of colour in her life…Lets hope her new movie “The Changeling” will provide all the colour her critics are after.

Day 3
Well, we couldn’t wait to get to dreamworld the 3rd day of our holidays had to be the hottest i believe, it was that real humid heat that you hear about from those who have been to Singapore. The sun was burning within 10 mins of being out of the car you could feel your skin shriveling up.. I didint get too burnt which was a bonus… The first lot photos are of the Big Brother Australia Complex, including stage, house, and FNL arena…. I could not believe how small it actually was up close and personal.. Television really does help create the illusion that it is a rather huge mansion, with all these rooms, and all this space… I can see now why a lot of house mates can turn stir crazy being cooped up in such a small area… I will go nuts, if i get in the house, being used to all the space at my place, but still.. Don’t forget to vote for me and nominate for me You will see the camera run, I don’t know if they were in any better condition during the show, but they were quiet poorly constructed, no wonder the house mates can hear coughing and sneezing, and talking from behind the walls. Very very risky to talk in the run. Most things were as you expect them to be, the couch, the LCD tv you see the house mates watching on eviction nights, however the diary room was tiny, and the diary room chair was in pretty bad shape, which was disappointing.
